Topics include: latitude and longitude, the water cycle, photosynthesis, Australian rainforests, South American Rainforests, African rainforests, Asian rainforests, North American rainforests, temperate rainforests, medicine from the rainforest, food from the rainforests, epiphytes, botany, hummingbirds, animals classification, food chain, the cocao tree and chocolate, bananas, the rubber tree, sloths, poison dart frog, poetry, people of the rainforests and their culture, and learn about a missionary named C.T. Studd.

Students will also do many art projects and science experiments, improve their handwriting skills through copywork, taste rainforest food, write reports and a biography, as well as enjoy watching over 60 education video links.

This Teacher Manual is part of a curriculum set. You will also need the Rainforests of the World: Student Workbook and the book An Adventure in Tropical & Temperate Rainforests by Deanna Holm.
